About us
The Camino Perregrino is a unique adventure: a pilgrimage along the Camino de Santiago in which we walk with our dogs as companions, symbols of joy, resilience and unconditional love.
Our founders, Andrea Álvarez and Susana Pérez, made this project a reality in 2022, convinced that the Jacobean experience with dogs is not only possible, but enriching. Since then, we have travelled memorable routes such as the Portuguese Way from Vigo and the French Way from Sarria, together with more than 30 people and almost as many dogs from different communities.
More than a journey, it is a movement of solidarity: every step counts towards helping animal shelters, raising funds and raising awareness about canine welfare on long-distance routes.
Our values
Animal welfare
We promote responsible care for dogs on the Camino, ensuring hydration, rest and safety at every stage.
Active solidarity
Each edition we support an animal shelter, raising funds, materials and food to improve the lives of other dogs.
Pilgrim Community
We create bonds between people who share a love for animals and a passion for the Camino, fostering respect and collaboration.
Respect for the Environment
We walk with environmental awareness, taking care of trails and leaving each place better than we found it.
Our real impact
Since 2022, we have brought together dozens of people and dogs from all over Spain on charity walks. We have delivered kilos of feed, medicines and veterinary supplies to shelters, and disseminated guidelines so that any pilgrim can walk the Camino with their dog safely and responsibly.
Every step we take is a shared story, a happy dog and a more united community.
